American Express

American Express

American Express is a major credit card company that is known for its rewards programs. American Express has very few low-end credit cards. Most of the company’s cards are geared towards serious rewards points collectors who have good credit scores and the income to make regular payments. Cards like the Blue Cash Everyday from American Express has no annual fee and decent rewards perks such as 3% cash back on gas and groceries. However, the rewards programs for higher-end cards are much more generous. The American Express Gold Card ($175 annual fee) is geared towards frequent fliers. It offers to triple any points earned on travel and also has a service that helps customers gain access to special hotel and entertainment deals. The Platinum Card ($450 annually) has even more earnings potential than its Gold counterpart. It also offers perks like airport lounge access, two-for-one premium class airline ticket deals and global concierge service. So, while AmEx does have everyday credit cards, it is most known for its high end cards, which offer superior services, rewards programs and perks for people with good credit who don’t mind paying an annual fee.
